After all, if you’re not passionate about your project, it’s going to be very difficult to stick with it long-term. It takes time and effort to make a passion project profitable, so if you plan on making a profit then you should pick something you can stick with for the long-term. That includes sticking with it through the inevitable downturns!

Here are a few tips for choosing a passion project that you’re truly passionate about:

1. Think about what you love to do. 

What are you good at? What do you enjoy spending your time doing? 

Think about what you do on the weekend when you don’t have work. Do you spend time outdoors? Do you like to write or journal? Take photos?

Consider what brings joy to your life, and think about any existing hobbies you already have.

These are all good starting points for choosing a passion project, though you’ll want to ensure it’s something you can commit to for more than just a few hours a week.
