About Angela
I spent over a decade working with some of the largest, most prominent companies in the biotech industry.
My career began when I started work as a research and development technician, but over time my career grew, and I worked as a Molecular Biologist, Research Scientist, and Laboratory Manager before I decided to make a massive pivot.
It was then that I turned to Marketing and Communications, finding a newfound love for writing and content, something I’d enjoyed since I was a little girl.
I’d developed a successful career and in so doing, paid off a massive amount of student debt in a relatively short time, grew my savings, and made significant financial investments.
While maximizing my income and savings, I learned to live below my means so that I could live life on my terms. It made me more passionate about life, and I loved being able to spend more time with my 4-year old and 1-year old boys.
I believe that everyone deserves to live life on their terms. By living a passionate and fulfilled life, we can make a bigger impact on the people around us, and in turn make the world a better place.

My Career Thrived Despite the Challenges, and Yours Can Too
I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease when I was 19-years old. At the time, I thought it would be the death of my dreams. It hasn’t been easy, but I built a thriving career despite struggling with a chronic illness.
Through the challenges, I traveled the world, got married and started a family. I had numerous experiences that brought joy to my life.
As a young adult, I didn’t have a lot of financial means. I put myself through college and graduated with a hefty student loan balance of nearly $100K.
It took years of patience, hard work, and continuing education to build my career, but it was something that brought me passion. Today I’m passionate about sharing my knowledge with others, so that they can find that same kind of joy with their professional AND personal pursuits.
If I can do it, you can too.
What does FIRE Mean?
Is FIRE a new concept to you? No worries! I had NO idea what the term meant when I first heard it, but it’s fairly simple:
- Financial
- Independence
- Retire
- Early

Put simply, the idea is about gaining the financial freedom to choose how you spend your time. You might be a workaholic (like I was), so maybe the idea of retiring early isn’t appealing, but maybe it is….
Regardless of how you choose to spend your time, gaining financial freedom can bring IMMENSE benefits in life, like the following:
- Time to pursue hobbies
- Time with family
- Freedom to choose work… or not
- Better physical and mental health
- Among MANY other benefits
Society usually views success as this: you go to school, get a good job, and work until you’re at least 65. In the meantime, you might get married, buy a house, start a family, and have the occasional family vacation. Sound about right?
What if I told you there was a way to get all of that, but that you didn’t have to work until the ripe old age of 65 (or above), unless you wanted to? Even better, you don’t have to start your own business, or inherit a fortune to make it happen. You can simply apply a few key concepts to advance your career, accelerate your savings, and add FIRE to your life.
